Many recruitment companies will look at LinkedIn profiles to get an idea of a potential recruit’s professional background. It is better to have no LinkedIn profile than to continue using an outdated one. If your goal is to get noticed by recruiting companies or hiring managers, you want to do everything possible to create a profile that stands out rather than blends in with the rest.

Include Simple Updates to Your Introduction

The simplest update you can do to your introduction is listing various industry information. According to various data obtained by LinkedIn, listing your industry information in your introduction increases profile views by nine times.

Plus, it’s more likely to get noticed by companies in charge of recruitment in Bangkok. Adding your location is another way to increase those profile views.

Make the small changes to your introduction first to see where that takes you in profile views. Once you make those changes, you can decide to take things further by updating old profile pictures and background images. Create a catchy headline to help draw in even more visitors.

Focus on Your Summary

The most important area of your LinkedIn profile is your summary section. Aside from your headline and profile picture, this is the first part of your profile that recruiters and hiring managers will see. Use it to your advantage and create a summary that is designed to grab their attention.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. If they don’t like what they see in the summary, they won’t bother to venture further into your profile.

In your summary, you want to highlight your skills, but you want to go into more detail than just a list of things that you can accomplish. You want to highlight what you are capable of doing and let them know why you do it and what makes you stand out from others with the same skill sets.

A great way to stand out is to include a personal mission statement. Let others know what is guiding you in your career.

Include Visuals

Putting what you do for a living into words is just the first step, and it’s perhaps the easiest one. To help create a stand-out profile, include pictures of what you do for a living. Pictures always add to a story because it helps bring things to life.

Visuals aren’t limited to just pictures. You can use videos, PowerPoint presentations, websites, and more to help illustrate what you do, why you do it, and why you are the best qualified at it.
